Africa is a continent with a staggering amount of problems. Its history is filled with pain and suffering and its present is very far away from what most people in the West take for granted.
Children in Africa suffer the most from economic, medical and educational crises. There is also the problem of life threatening tribal traditions like female circumcision in countries like Nigeria. There is some progress made every day to improve the conditions of the younger generation in Africa. Many charity organizations are targeting bad hygiene, malnutrition and poor education and fighting for a better day for these children. But the future of Africa is in individuals and NGOs that not only send money and adopt African orphans but those organizations that focus on educating the native population how to rebuild their economy and their lives.
One great example is South Africa’s Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls which is an educational establishment aimed to give quality knowledge to the most underprivileged – young females. The students at the school receive not only the best education but also online lectures from their virtual “aupair” Winfrey via satellite. This is a way to give these girls a chance to become powerful career women in the future who will rebuild Africa from its current underprivileged position. Although there is a lot of work done for these children, there is still room for improvement. Why not be the one who will make a change?

When we walk the streets of our Western cities and towns, with shops full of produce and pockets full of money, it is difficult to imagine what life is like in the Third World. As we think choosing a shade of the new sofa is a problem a woman in Africa has to walk 12 miles every day just to get her children a pot of water. What it is to be growing up in subsistent economies is even a more terrible picture.
There are so many problems in the Third World it is difficult to point out all of them. Besides war, famine, lack of proper medicine and education, Africa in particular suffers from the AIDS pandemic. In Malawi about half of the population is infected – a staggering unbelievable number. Children of Malawi take the greatest toll of the tragedy. There are about a million orphans in Malawi and very few ideas about what to do with them.
Luckily attention was brought to this problem by a music superstar Madonna when she adopted a boy called David from an orphanage in Malawi. A foundation was started called Raising Malawi that takes steps to battle the overwhelming number of orphans in the country. What is more important is that legislation is finally created to help foreigners adopt children as Malawians cannot do it themselves. There is hope at the end of the tunnel. But it’s up to me and you to make things change.
Today learning more about the world of international soccer can help children make the most of their lives in terms of not only athletics but also cultural education about different nationalities. There are plenty of opportunities for people out there to involve their kids in great activities like soccer if they choose Soccer Club Mississauga popular with modern families. At the club children meet different people and interact together for the good of the whole team. Soccer is an international game that unites people all over the world together for a common goal of the love of sport and the competitive spirit of winning. Soccer is a great team sport and may help children develop a better team spirit and realize their aspirations and dreams much clearer. As you know education plays one of the most important roles in the life of very person because it opens huge possibilities to reach success in life. In fact when you study in college you can get acquainted with a lot of people who can become useful in the future.

Independent schools…

In this article we have decided to pay attention to independent schools. There are a lot of them in the US, UK and in other countries. Parents know that they are more expensive in comparison with state schools. But is it the only difference? Let us try to figure it out.
When you come to a regular school, not a private one, you feel that there are not many people who are interested in you and your child as in individuals. A lot of people do their jobs. Of course, we will not generalize because there are different people, but the general picture is clear. And now try to imagine that you arrive to private Girls School, for instance… You will feel the difference in attitude at once. “This is because of money” - people say. Well, is it really so bad? Dedicated, committed and responsible staff deserves to be paid well.
It is important for each school to understand that academic achievement is a core, but social skills are also very important. When you come to private schools
you get first-hand experience in leisure opportunities and quality of education. It all contributes to a successful life of your child.
As you can understand, we support private sector in education. It has everything that is necessary for development. Unfortunately, state schools are not like this. But those who pay more money deserve better attitude.

If you are in two minds whether or not to have children you need to sit down to write the do’s and don’ts list. Here are some thoughts that may help.
Having children is as stressful as it is rewarding. There is nothing like it in the world but it is a twenty four hour job. For many people having children turns out to be a life-changing event: those who have been suffering from depression find new meanings in life and can finally acquire peace and closure for their past traumas. Some people even give up their therapy session because they no longer need them and start buying clothes for kids and nursing hoodies for themselves.
The world is no longer a lonely place when you have a child. No matter what is happening around you, you have a person to come home to every day. This is a huge responsibility of course. But the benefits outweigh the negative impact on your life. If you know how to organize your time and if you are a multi-tasker you will make a great parent and will be able to remain a whole fulfilled individual in your personal life. If you aren’t all the above you will definitely learn fast to plan your time more efficiently and squeeze more events into one day. One great lesson children bring is your ability to see what’s important and what’s not. Besides, every day your kid will manage to put a smile on your face no matter how tired you are. Isn’t that happiness?
People in the Third World are suffering intolerable misfortunes today, and in many ways it concerns women and children in particular. In some corners of the world women’s and children’s rights are still an unheard of phenomenon and a privilege to battle for.

Without going into extremes of female circumcision or children’s initiation rights of some tribal peoples, it’s plain clear that the most terrible problems are found in the areas of healthcare, education and child care. A staggering amount of women still die in childbirth, or shortly after giving birth. They have no proper care during pregnancy and virtually no post-natal care for themselves and their babies, and are forced by harsh economic conditions to return to work practically from the birth table. Forced abortions are a problem in India, despite numerous governmental counter measures.
Education of women remains rudimentary at primary school level or no level at all. Only wealthy and higher middle class families can afford to send a woman to college. Many choose not to do so and marry their females into money instead. When it comes to childcare the situation is pretty dire. There are either very low quality nurseries or no such option at all. Women are forced into taking their newborn children to their job environments, which is detrimental for both parties. Nurseries are crowded, lack proper hygiene and medical services.
Some work is done to turn the situation around. But on the whole the standards remain low and a lot of change needs to take place to improve the conditions of women and children.
There are numerous problems of women and children in the developing world. There is not enough proper care of expectant mothers and newborns. Universal vaccination is still an unachievable goal for many countries of the world. A live vaccine of polio, for instance, can wipe out large segments of population because the older generation was never vaccinated.
Work safety is still an open issue for developing countries. Thousands of people die of pesticide intoxication at cotton plantations. This concerns young children because in many cases mothers cannot afford a nursery for their children and are forced to take them to work. Child and women’s labour with no regard to minimum wage or maximum hours is still a regular phenomenon. And education of both mothers and their children is still elementary.
Many things are beginning to change for the better however. More and more outsourcing companies start taking care of their workers in the Third World offering them better working conditions and equal opportunities, in some cases education and child care. More schools and colleges are funded from abroad, as well as a number of scholarships and grants are made available for children from the developing countries. Women’s organizations keep fighting for more rights for women and children. Trade is developing more freely with fair-trade agreements. A number of celebrities bring these issues to light every year with concerts and charity events. Still a lot needs to be done to see a radical change in the Third World.
